- iraqi music -- info and mpfrees, nuff maqam (which was my #1 name-for-a-boy a few years ago, i might add), and don't miss the featured artist page

now that's an op-ed.
more of these, please.
hey man ,
been a fan of the blog for a while and as a Dj obsessed with sonic objects and their modulations your ruminations keep a homie enthused!
As far as the tragic state of media reporting, it is now, more than ever, neccesary to act as historians (perhaps this is what we are doing as DJs too?).
That is acknowledge and work with primary and secondary data, know the distinction and biases and genesis from that, knaw mean?
I am sure you know these places but here are good places for anyone to start their exile from mis-information.
drudgereport.com (reports culled from many of the different online newspapers, with an eye for variety).
There another great site by the name of electric lebanon with first hand account and videos from the front but i forgot to bookmark the page and it suspicously does not appear in Google (pay notice!).
If anyone knows the exact link the page please write it down, and i will update this post accordingly.
Keep keeping on, mr.wayne
BTW, I always check cursor.org for an overview of news links.
thanks for the tip, rip. i didn't know about cursor.
and thanks for the good words, dappa. i have to admit that i very rarely read drudge. i dunno exactly why. he seems fairly 'equal opportunity' in his coverage, and yet i feel like he's way to the right of me for some reason (maybe for not putting the emphasis where i'd like it), so i tend to have a suspicious reaction anytime i end up there.
